Welcome to Open Enrollment for Health Marketplace Insurance!

Family Lying In Pile Up On Grass TogetherWelcome to Open Enrollment For Health Insurance 2016! November 1st was the first day for the Health Marketplace Open Enrollment Period. It’s a great opportunity to enroll for healthcare and avoid paying the penalty for not having health insurance. This is also the time to change and renew an existing plan. The Patient Protection and the Affordable Care Act helped ensure that every American receive a certain level of coverage within the plan they purchase and that people who need premium assistance get the help they need to pay for their insurance. Marketplace plans are an excellent alternative to costly group employer plans and offer subsidies for cheaper premiums and often higher quality plans.  With a marketplace plan, tax subsidies are available to people who qualify to help pay for their plan. Whether you purchase Bronze plan, Silver plan, Gold Plan or Platinum Plan excellent coverage always available.  Having health insurance is now the law and there is a tax penalty for not having it and these penalties might be going up to $695 a person next year. For a family of four this could be several thousands of dollars so make sure you get coverage to avoid the penalty.
